Federal Work-Study Program (FWS):
The purpose of this program is to provide a means through employment for Non-Resident students, whereby an eligible student can earn funds with which to pay for educational expenses. Based on the amount of demonstrated need, and the rate of pay in compliance with the Federal Minimum Wage Law, a student could earn as much as $8,000 during the two-semester college year. Through this program students may work up to 20 hours per week while attending classes and up to 28 hours per week during vacation periods. In order to qualify for Federal Work-study, students must demonstrate financial need. Jobs are based on individual skills, work experience, course of study, and date of financial aid application.
Colorado Work-Study Program (CSW):
The purpose of this program is to provide a means through employment for Colorado students, whereby an eligible student can earn funds with which to pay for educational expenses. Based on the amount of demonstrated need, and the rate of pay in compliance with the Federal Minimum Wage Law, a student could earn as much as $8,000 during the two-semester college year.
